Thing # 18 Corner Spot

I explored the Google Docs site and enjoyed using the free website. You can add tables and images just like in Microsoft word. Google Docs also accepts most formats in uploading files. In many cases, you do not have to have internet connections to view or edit your documents. I did not see any disadvantages with Google Docs, but with Open Office.org, one drawback would be that if a person uses a dial up modem, it would take 8 hrs. and 16 minutes for the program to download%^&*()_+(*&.

Your dial up modem is much faster than mine. To download Open Office.org on my computer, it would take 12 hours. There's an old saying. You get what you pay for ($7.99 a month for internet service). LOL---I can wait an additional 4 hours to save more money. : )
