Thing #23 Corner Spot

Yippee I made it! I can't wait to get back to school to try my new tools. The students will be able to beef up their presentations and reports utilizing the free tools. My favorite discoveries were flickr, online generators, and the Google tools. By taking this course, I have learned so many new ways to incorporate new technology tools in my lessons. On a scale of 1- 10 and 1 being the highest, this ranks number 1 as being one of the best Staff Developments ever. Working at your own pace, having fun learning new things, and getting credit too, oh I don't think it can get better than this!!

Thing # 22 Corner Spot

Ning is a great tool for interacting with other colleagues. A lot of ideas and collaboration from other educators can be very helpful. In the Teacher Library Ning, it was very interesting to be in a group that shared information about their library schedules at the elementary level. Many schools were very creative in how they handled planning times for teachers. I also enjoyed viewing some of the videos in the collection. Students would get a kick out viewing Mouse Space-My Librareo Entry Video from the video collection. By using Teacher Library Ning, I could get ideas from other educators,trade tips and brainstorm some lesson ideas. I was able to find several lesson plans for Science for primary grades using the Ning for Teachers site. Great to know that ideas and sharing is just a click a way.

Thing # 21 Corner Spot

This was so much fun! The kids will have a blast using Photostory for Book Reviews and other class projects. I explored photostory and selected pictures from Flickr and Google Images to insert into my story. Creating my story and inserting pictures was great. The problem came when I tried to post it on my blog. All of my hard work and this is what I have to show for it-
